Ofsted

In March 2017 Crossways Infant School was graded as continuing to provide a Good quality of education by Ofsted.

“The impact of teaching on pupils’ learning over time is good.”

“All pupils in both phases write extensively and above age related expectations.”

“The procedures for keeping pupils safe are strong…Parents are unanimous in their view that their children are well cared for.”

“Children in the early years achieve well in reading, writing and mathematics.”

The above quotations are taken from the full version of the letter which is available on the Ofsted web site.

We are very pleased with the letter and agree with its assessment and conclusions. As we were already graded as good the inspection was a short version and only looked at particular areas and so the letter does not cover all aspects of school life as would have been the case in previous inspections. The two points for improvement are already areas that we have discussed and are focusing on within our staff meetings.

You can see the full report on the Ofsted site as well as the link to the parent view. The letter sent to all Infant parents is attached below.
