On Thursday 14th March Year 3 visited the Aerospace Museum, Filton for our topic on Brunel and Engineering.
The children took part in a ‘Hands on Maths’ workshop where the children created their very own rescue vehicle. The children had to design and create to very specific details, including weight, size and price. All children were amazing, showed fantastic problem solving and reasoning as well as team work.
The children also visited Concorde. We watched a fantastic video about the history of Concorde and were lucky enough to visit the cockpit and the cabin.
Throughout the day we visited the various exhibits around the museum including aeroplanes, helicopters, satellites and engines, dating back as far as 1910!
Year 3 were fantastic and really represented Crossways brilliantly. Well done Year 3!
